My oarents are pretty chill with me liking chicks. My grandparents however, deny that part of me. Whatever. I won't be seeing them much anyway so I'm good.

Sounds more like you might be mainly asexual and biromantic.

I'm not entirely sure you understand those terms....I'm not telling you it isn't okay, but....someone who is asexual has absolutely no interest in sex whatsoever and they don't see genders as sexual objects of have the desire to be sexual with those people.

someone who is bisexual finds sexual and romantic attraction to both the male and female genders...

i guess you can be asexual sometimes and bisexual other times....but i don't understand it lol

It's hard to be "sometimes" asexual, you either are interested in a sexual relationship, or are not.

just keep in mind that you NEVER have to tell anyone about your lifestyle or sexual orientation, they are your choices. some people may not accept you and many parents wont either but if they truly love you they will love you no matter what you tell them. it may be rough at first (after telling him) acceptance doesn't always come right from the start. For me, when i told my mother she thought it was a joke or a phase and she made fun of me but over the years she began to accept that being bisexual is the way i am and eventually she was pretty much okay with it. everyone is different. some parents will dissown their children and some parents will take some time to accept it, and some will accept it no matter what. everyone is different but know that you never have to disclose your lifestyle choices to anyone you dont need to explain to anyone. i know you dont want to hide forever but for a dad, some dads at least, the hardest thing to hear is that their son is gay/bisexual/trans etc. (not sure if you're a dude sorry) for my day (im a woman) when i told him he thought it was cool lol...

good luck whether you do tell him or you dont

everyone's situation is different

For me, I got bullied by my mom for a while and then it died off, my dad didn't care, and my brother supported me through everything. If you want to tell your family, instead of just coming out and saying it, just ask nonchalantly and non-serious "hey mom, what if i was gay? what if i like girls? would you still love me?" if she asks why "well my friend told her mom that she likes girls and her mom doesn't love her any more....i just wanted to see how you feel" if you get "of course i would love you" then tell her that you're bisexual and if you get "i would disown you and forbid you from being in my family if your were lesbian or bisexual" then make the executive decision to keep your secret in order to avoid drama in the household...

also, for your friend....

my best friend, I've known since 7th grade...she didn't know that i was bisexual until sophomore year in high school...and she didn't know that i had a crush on her until junior year (of course by then the feelings for her faded into sisterly love but i admitted to her) after knowing that i had a crush on her, she still stuck around as my friend and she still loved me like a sister....advice on telling the girl you like...uhm...figure out if she swings that way first, if she does, confess attraction and feelings for her, ask her out, but if she doesn't like women, then tell her that your bisexual, if she is really your friend she will stick around....but if you don't want to face the possibility of losing a friend then keep it a secret if she doesn't like women.

this is probably not the best advice for everyone....because my situation and my personality will be different from other peoples'....i just hope that what i have to say is helpful

just please don't look at it like instructions...more like advice, like you said....just don't run off and do this exactly because it all depends on the person and the situation...

I'm scared to see what she thinks

My dad promotes my feelings toward women....When he looks at butts, I look at butts lol and we have a good time....my mom on the other hand....she doesn't seem to be bothered by it any more. I guess she just learned to deal with it.

Again, that's just my opinion....

Your mom may actually not give a crap, but then she may say that she doesn't care when really, she is against it. My mom told me that she didn't care at first and she began to bully me about it, then eventually i guess she saw that it wasn't some kind of phase for me and that she wouldn't break me out of it by being a dick.

Again, my situation it likely to be different from yours...I don't know your mom....so she may respond differently

I find girls so sweet! <3 I actually confessed my love to my best friend Nikki.. She said she loved me too, but she was in mixed emotions and not sure if we should go out. I told her whatever she decides is fine with me.. Ah I feel so happy finally telling her that... <:3

well, I came out first to my friends....and this is where I found out who my real friends were. At first I told my closest friends. It didn't seem like any of my friends turned on me or felt disgusted; in fact, my closest friend was grossed out at first but then soon she realized that I meant nothing sexual toward her. When I began to open up to those that were not as special to me, things went downhill. I got bullied, picked on, mocked....yeah, not pretty.

Soon, I came out to my brother. He thought it was cool, he had no problems with it. We talked about it quite a bit and it made me feel comfortable...I even talked with him about telling mom. Now, I haven't lived with my father since I was eight years old otherwise I would have been telling him first...

Finally I decided to tell my mom and she had her ups and downs. She thought it was a phase, she picked at me, and she asked me TOO MANY personal questions. but, I knew it wasn't a phase because of the experiences I had and the fact that I was sexually attracted to the same gender. my mom was the one that took it the hardest, she didn't disown me but she tested me all the time with questions that really got me to think about my feelings for people of the same gender.

In the end, now that I have been out for about 6 years...I am very open about it, I flirt with both men and women, I tell people about my sexuality to avoid the pain of losing a friend because I waited to tell them. I am a fluttery, open, and happy bisexual who decided that I don't care how others feel about my sexuality because in the end I'm the one behind closed doors with someone of the same gender not them....and besides, I probably get more pussy than the average teenage boy claims he does...so there's my come-back lol

as for your situation, I can't help you with that....this is one of those things that is entirely based on the personalities, beliefs, and feelings of you and the ones around you. Just remember, the only person that maters is yourself in this....your true friends will stay by your side no matter what decision you make....well unless you kill someone lol :D
